1.What is Ahimsa?

Who said Ahimsa is non violence/ to equate ahimsa to non violence is ignorance it not perversion. Ahimsa means nonviolence toward all living being, because all living things {non living things too} have the same supreme spirit within them; the supreme spirit is Macrocosm and spirit within the living and non-living this is the Microcosm. When someone attacks you or me or any other living being, that is violence. Preventing that violence from being perpetrated is Ahimsa. If you cannot stop violence then you become a passive perpetrator of violence. To prevent such an attack from taking place, one may be forced to hit back and even kill if the situation demands. Force used in such a situation is not Himsa but Ahimsa in its highest form, the perverted meaning of Ahimsa was used by the occupying forces in India to mislead the Hindu minds to that the Hindus could be prevented from raising arms against the invaders. It is most unfortunate that a great nation is now being made soft in every aspect by this perverted thought of non violence.
