Why kalariworld.com?

www.kalariworld.com was launched by "Sudarsana Kalari Sanghom" with the aim of introducing the real traditional ways of the martial art of Kerala -India, the "Kalarippayattu" to the people who love martial arts. Certainly ours is not the first site on the subject of kalarippayattu. Nor do we expect that it will be the last. Many of our predecessors promoted kalarippayattu as a performing art, mixed Kalari training with yoga and projected kalarippayattu as something mystical. Of course there are some very good research work published on the history of Kalari training by some of them but we can safely claim that www.kalariworld.com is the first and perhaps the only site that solely concentrates on the martial/self-defense applications of this ancient art, that too in the real traditional way. Again people world wide were given more than enough of the northern style or Vadakkan system of Kalari training. Not much was available to the martial community around the world about the origin, history and training methods of the southern style or the Thekkan and the very rare Kathinayoga systems. For Kathinayoga we have launched another promotional website www.kathinayoga.com (still under construction)
